This simple little rack and fill kit is one thing you must have for bottling your wine. If you have not yet experienced bottling wine, you are in for a treat. It is fun and memorable. I suggest having friends over when you do it (bottling party, Yeah). Without the use of this simple kit, it will be even more memorable....but maybe not so much fun... though.
The reason, bottling can be a messy operation. With the filler this can be eliminated. The filler allows the wine to flow into the bottle as long as it is on the bottom of the bottle. A spring-less valve (gravity) is depressed and opens to fill the bottle. Once you pick it up off the bottom of the bottle, the valve closes, stopping the flow. Even though this is almost drip and mess free, I suggest filling your bottles sitting them in a pan or tub. Without having to "eyeball" each bottle's level, let the wine slightly overflow and you will find each and every bottle with the exact level...Presto !
